Cheaper Colleges and Universities Lead to More Success
In order to complete my topic project for ENGLISH 216–25, I made a post on Instagram to advocate for cheaper college and university tuition during times such as the current pandemic our generation is living in. My intended audience is catered towards students and families who are currently paying for an education as well as those who may be preparing to pay for education in the near future. College is already hard enough for a majority of its’ students and COVID-19 is only making things harder for everyone. Due to the pandemic, colleges and universities have both switched to online classes in order to cope with national guidelines but this has come with the cost of lower quality of education and an all time low of enrollment for students.
As a college student, I am aware of the all the struggles that come with trying to pursue our intended degrees, but sometimes the environment around us is too conflicted to move up in. Conflicts such as not having work, not being able to afford tuition and not getting the full experience with teachers are all aspects which end up taking a toll on college families. By lowering tuition costs of education during the COVID-19 pandemic, students can have this burden of trying to afford school be lifted off their shoulders.
My intention is to create awareness for others that we should not have to pay full price for college tuition if we are not getting the full experience that we are pouring thousands of dollars into.

Despite communities all over having their downfalls, we should not let these negative thoughts get in the way of changes that we can make towards the future. By remaining positive and creating awareness for affordable college tuition, contemporary society has the ability to pave the way for generations and their lifelong success.
